Be prepared to talk on each and every part of the ground lessons (know it all). Have lesson plans for each and every maneuver and be prepared to give one or more lesson plans for every day. The categories I have put above are general and not specific in some instances so make sure you cover every part of that particular maneuver or ground lesson. Consider talking about the things that are going to make your student successful for the lesson plans. Example: For straight and level, what is really going to make that student successful? Looking at the horizon in relation to the cowling? The wings in relation to the horizon and picking a number of points on the horizon and flying to them!. We will be doing some maneuvers during every flight that will not be part of that day's syllabus, you will be exposed to them and start teaching them every time we do them, especially take offs and landings. I expect you to show up prepared in all areas above. If you have any questions call me or E-mail prior to starting. Be prepared to work hard it should be a lot of fun and we should all learn a lot. Remember the majority of work for this rating will be done before you ever start.
